Environmental and product stewardship are paramount for RED RIVER. Committed to the responsible handling and disposal of chemical products, we conform strictly to all local and international guidelines on environmental, health, and safety.
Health & Safety
Health
Our objective is to eliminate work-related illnesses/injuries and enhance health for all staff members. We aim to identify and quantify health hazards in these fields:
Physical and chemical hazards in RED RIVER business units from the processes, operations, or products
Non-work related injuries
Acute and chronic diseases related to workplace factors
Safety
All employees contribute to protecting against weaknesses in the safety system by identifying risks and errors. This dynamic approach facilitates safety improvements in equipment, processes, work methods, and individual/group performance, prioritizing the safeguarding of individuals within a conducive environment.
The four key activities that support our safety system are:
Risk assessment of products, services, and operations
OperatIonal controls creation and implementation with layers of protection
Controlling and updating risk assessments, controls, and implementation to ensure efficiency
Addressing gaps in protective systems and enhancing system resilience
Emergency preparedness ensures we establish and maintain procedures to address emergency situations, mitigate EHS effects and occupational illnesses, and injuries linked to identified emergencies.
Each business unit develops and maintains emergency response plans and training consistent with our obligatory procedure. This procedure requires dedicated resources for emergency prevention, control, and response.
